Iowa Party Bites,a tasty appetizer perfect for gatherings:


Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup diced green onions
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (optional, for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Roll out the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  2. Make the Filling:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, diced green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Assemble the Bites:
    • Place a spoonful of the filling at the wide end of each crescent triangle.
    • Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end toward the pointed tip, encasing the filling.
  4. Bake:
    • Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. If desired, brush the tops with melted butter for a golden finish.
    • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  5. Serve:
    • Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm and watch them disappear at the party!
