Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In another bowl, beat the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy. Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Bake: Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden around the edges but still soft in the center.
- Cool: Let cookies cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
