Recipe: Rich Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas (about 4-5 bananas)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Stir in the eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Stir the banana mixture into the flour mixture just until moistened.
  5. Bake: Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Cool: Let the bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
